Took my 07 BMW 335i 6 Speed, it has a N54 motor turbo charged. I have a Hard time finding a shop that won't take advantage of me and just give me honest work. Universal Transmission actually took care of me and rebuilt my Manual transmission equipped with stage 2 clutches upgraded components, got my car back on the road and man it shifts amazing 10/10!! Scam Shop – Avoid at All Costs! I found Universal Transmission through a Facebook ad (first mistake) and got completely ripped off. Jose Luis originally quoted me $1,500 for a transmission repair, which supposedly included a full rebuild. After inspecting my truck, he suddenly changed the story, saying it now needed a total rebuild—which made no sense because that’s what he had already quoted me for! Then, he pushed me to replace the transmission instead. After shopping around, I realized I couldn’t afford a “new” transmission, so I told him to just put my truck back together so I could pick it up. That’s when he hit me with the real scam—he told me it would cost $1,300 just for the inspection and reassembly. His excuse? “Universal charges for everything.” To make matters worse, they only take cash, which makes this place seem even more shady. Now I’m $1,300 down, and my truck is in the exact same condition as before. I picked up the truck and seems to be working like before so far. He even called the cops on me cause I called him a scum bag. This man is truly a piece of work. The negative reviews are 100% accurate. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place!
