I would like to begin by clarifying that the following statement is a personal account and does not represent an official position of Active Cycling. During the first day of the Bike MS: ACC Texas MS 150 in La Grange, Texas, I established a support station near the Hilcorp Energy Co. area, equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to support riders. After an extended period, my tablet's battery was depleted, and I requested permission to use a nearby power outlet. Although initially granted, a female Hilcorp Energy representative later became upset and disconnected the power source. I attempted to resolve the issue in a courteous manner, but she refused to reconsider. This encounter was especially disappointing, given our team's prior assistance to multiple Hilcorp Energy riders. The Bike MS event seeks to promote unity and cooperation among participants; regrettably, the behavior displayed by the Hilcorp Energy representative was inconsistent with this objective. Customer service people are not helpful and rude.

Beautiful building, only them inside (no other tenants), parking across the street (HEC can validate if official business), and the friendliest front desk anywhere!

Beautiful Building helpful staff supporting good causes

The building is nice enough but ultimately disappointing: There doesn't appear to be any effort being put toward actually leasing Main St. retail even though it looks like that was the design intent here... Just tons of opaque film on the glass... Flies in the face of everything Downtown is trying to accomplish these days given that this building replaced Macy's and is located on Main St. intersecting with the Dallas St. retail corridor. Why build Downtown if you're only going to ignore it?
