This place is top notch!!! Ricardo is my hero. He fixed my 2021 Dodge Ram in less than 3 hours on a Saturday . I was impressed . The work was plenty. They charged fair. I love this shop.

I can’t say enough great things about Victor and The Pro Amigo! I was about to drive home from work one day, and my car battery was dead. Assuming it was just a dead battery, I went straight to AutoZone, where they tested it and told me the battery was fine—but that my alternator was failing and needed to be replaced. They estimated the parts alone would cost anywhere from $200 to $600, not including labor. Thankfully, I decided to take my car to Victor at The Pro Amigo, and I’m so glad I did! Instead of jumping straight into an expensive repair, Victor took the time to question the diagnosis and encouraged me to look at the situation more logically. He explained that if the alternator was truly the issue, my car might shut off while driving, which wasn’t happening. He then showed me that replacing the alternator could cost me over $1,300 after factoring in labor and high-quality parts. Instead of pushing an unnecessary repair, he suggested I let him diagnose the issue himself. A couple of hours later, he called me back and told me my car was running fine! When I arrived, he showed me that the real issue wasn’t the alternator—it was a loose part on the battery that had been melting plastic onto the terminal, causing a poor connection. He cleaned everything up, tightened the battery properly, and got my car back in working order. The best part? The total cost was just $100—a small price to pay compared to the unnecessary alternator replacement I was originally told I needed. Victor’s honesty, expertise, and dedication to doing what’s right for his customers have earned my trust. From now on, The Pro Amigo is my go-to shop for any car troubles. If you want a reliable and honest mechanic in Houston, I highly recommend Victor and his team!

This is without a doubt the best mechanic I know of in Houston. I have been to several other local shops in the past and Victor at pro amigo is the most honest and sincere mechanic I have met. Prices on parts are incredibly reasonable and their cost of labor is very reasonable. If you have a problem with your car make sure to take it by here first and get a quote from Victor!

I've gone to The Pro Amigo multiple times for different issues with multiple cars over the last few years. Each time they've done great work with the repairs, completed sooner than I expected, and with no surprises popping up later on. Victor has been consistently communicative, transparent, and honest about the work needed and costs with every repair. He's always made time to explain further and answer questions when I've had them. The integrity I've seen is why I prefer bringing my cars here and am happy to recommend them.
