We had the pleasure of working with both ABACUS electricians and plumbers this past 2 weeks. Our home is 41 years old and repairs needed to be done. They were able to start our jobs within 24 hours of contacting them. The employees were courteous and extremely knowledgeable regarding the repairs we needed. They were on time, set up and clean up was done with each job. The supervisors were in constant contact with us through the whole project and issues were addressed immediately and with complete respect. They took time to insure the least amount of inconvenience to us. I would recommend ABACUS Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electric to anyone. They are now our go to company.

Kitchen sink was clogged and I didn't have tools available to clear the clog. My wife gave me 3 suggestions on who she wanted me to call. I saw Abacus and that's who I called. Your call center was pleasant and took care of me quickly. After hanging up, I started getting text messages keeping me updated on the window for service, employee who would perform the service. Zach called when he was about 30 minutes from the house. He arrived and was very pleasant. He came in, saw the problem and went to his truck, got his tools and some dog treats. Zach finished, put his tools away and scanned my card. I was very impressed with the entire process. Abacus is top of our list for any plumbing, electrical, or AC problems.

I’m less than pleased with the results of my AC unit replacement. My original unit was just 10 years old and appeared to be a quality unit. It had been on a yearly Abacus maintenance program since I moved into the home 3 ½ years ago with no issues identified whatsoever. The original salesperson gave me options of repairs of $25k, $35K and $45k. I was a bit shocked and opted for the lower priced repair. Not ever repairing, and much less replacing such a unit in the past, I didn’t really have a feel for how this compares to other potential service companies. My house already being hot, and it being summer in Houston, I didn’t feel like I had an opportunity to have another service provider come in for a 2nd opinion. The salesperson had my sign/approve the lower cost option without reviewing all that was included explaining that I would get an email explaining all the items. Nearing 10pm that evening the lead installer came into to my home and started replacing my thermostat which was programable and working properly. I suggested that he not replace it and at that time went up to the attic seeing a new unit installed at an angle in order to make it fit along with a universal air filter that I didn’t want and an additional plenum to manage all the hoses. Previously my unit and hoses where much better aligned and fit well. What I have now is more of a mess. Still concerned about the cost of repair I was not pleased that I was not given a choice on what to install to control the overall cost while getting things that I didn’t feel that I needed.

Plumbing service is not complete and I’m not satisfied, the pipe is not concealed properly, the hole dug to connect drain on main sewer is still exposed. I was told that they’re waiting for inspection from the city if it’s approved or not . I thought the pipe will be concealed by the gutters , it’s just ugly to look at . I hope something will be done . Thank you for reaching out.

Justin did an outstanding job! He called with his ETA. Arrived and assessed the issue and able to get the repairs done. Easy payment process and sent receipt via email. I will be contacting them again for more work that is needed.
