My teenage son was not paying attention to the gages in his Mini Cooper and blew-up the motor due to a coolant leak. It is difficult to find anyone who will even work on those things. I checked with Thunderbolt and to my surprise, Skip the owner came out and personally took a look at it. He confirmed that that the situation was bad but assured me they could take care of it. They even sent a tow truck to pick it up. A few weeks later, it had a fresh motor build and it runs better than ever. They even upgraded some of the OEM plastic coolant parts to metal so the problem should not repeat itself. Overall great work and amazing service. On top of that, very reasonable pricing. Next time I have a transmission problem in one my cars which seems inevitable nowadays, I wont have to worry about where to take it.

I took my truck there during Covid, they rebuilt the engine. I was told that I had a 3yr/100,000 mile warranty because it’s a diesel. So naturally when I had an issue I took it back. They denied my warranty because according to them, the warranty started on date x, which was the date that I dropped it off for repair, not when I picked it up. I went to the BBB and complained and they replied that my engine was modified and that was why. But the only thing not stock, is my air filter. And my truck was broken into while they had it and they wouldn’t do anything for me at all. But since there storage area has razor fence, 6 ft tall, it had to be done by an employee. They took over 5k in tools and stereo. There owner responded to my BBB complaint with several outrageous lies, apparently he believes everything his guys say. I wouldn’t go there if there was no where else to go. Horrible experience.

I’m currently serving overseas in the military, and while I was away, my wife started experiencing engine trouble with our car. Concerned that it might be a transmission issue, we were unsure of what to do. Thankfully, our neighbor recommended Thunderbolt Engine & Transmission. In just two days, he had the issue fixed and even arranged for the car to be towed back to our house. His professionalism, efficiency, and kindness truly went above and beyond. He didn’t have to go out of his way to help us, but he did, and for that, my wife and I are incredibly grateful. Outstanding service and highly recommended!

Three years ago (2022), my dad took his 2005 Trailblazer here to get the transmission rebuilt. It was under warranty and Thunderbolt made the process very easy. Now, I am driving this car (as my car was in a wreck) and I must say, this is a very smooth ride. The acceleration of the engine is great, but the way it changes gears is super smooth. At 20 years old, this car will keep running for years to come.
