I wasn't initially going to write a review, but I keep getting text/email solicitations from them, asking for feedback on my visit, so here I am. First thing I will note is that their attitude toward you is very hot/cold. I feel like every time I reached out to them, their demeanor was determined by a flip of a coin. Sometimes they'd have a passive aggressive attitude, sometimes they'd be nice, sometimes they'd be short (eager to get off the phone, or end the conversation), and sometimes they'd be jolly and conversational. This isn't any single individual, I generally had the same experience with everyone I dealt with. If you always have a great interaction with them, then I'm happy for you. They might just be stoked that you opened your wallet extra wide for them. ;) Service experience: My transmission was leaking on my car and I reached out to them to get a quote on doing a flush and replacing pans/gaskets/etc. As others stated, they won't do quotes over the phone, even for standard services, which is fine, even if you can call nine other shops and get a quote via the phone/email. They convinced me to bring the car in to do an "inspection" for $180 and give me an estimate on requested work. When I dropped the car off, I mentioned there were some lights on the dash that I was aware of and planned on addressing, but my main concern was getting a quote on the transmission service. To me, it was just a bonus to get the rest of the car checked out. When I picked up the car, "the guy" (don't remember names) walked me through the report they made with estimates. As some others have stated, it seems like their mantra is to just replace every single part on your vehicle until it's brand new, some of which do not even need replacing. The report said I needed to replace the engine mounts because they were "collapsed," but I told him that they had already been replaced within the last six months while doing other maintenance. He showed me a picture they took of the engine mounts and they literally looked brand new. As I write this, I have their picture up on one screen and a Google image of a brand new mount on my other screen and they're identical (not "collapsed"). He was very adamant that engine mounts could need replacing that often "in some cases." I've had a lot of vehicles in my life, about half of them performance vehicles, and never did I need to change out engine mounts every six months. There was no quote for doing the transmission service I mentioned, which was the main reason for me coming to see them, so I was disappointed to pay $180 for the inspection considering this. When I asked about it not being in the quote, "the guy" said "we need to address these other issues first before we move on to that." Like, huh? I've never heard of a shop unwilling to address a leaking transmission. As others have stated, I also didn't get a good "vibe" from them; the prices for parts/labor listed in their inspection report are way higher than any other shop I've been to. This place is the best. I have been taking my cars here for years for quality honest work on my vehicles. I recommend TGA to all of my friends that have German cars. TGA saved me tens of thousands when the Mercedes Benz dealer steered me wrong on a difficult problem with my vehicle. I trust these guys over anyone.

For the past 2 years my car was in and out with Porsche dealers and experts only to be taken through the ringer without a solution to the issue I was having. Took my vehicle here after reading the stellar reviews, and within 24 hours the issue was solved. I even waited a month to post this review to make sure and she’s still running like a champ with no problems. Texas German Autohaus is awesome! I have nothing but the most positive feedback about this place. They’re knowledgeable, professional and great communicators. The quality of the repairs from TGA is better than the Mercedes dealership (plus much quicker and more affordable). Have had brakes, suspension and steering assembly work done here, and I’m never bringing either of my German cars anywhere else in Houston. PS - Leslie and Michael are especially great!
